ADVANCED BusinessLink Corporation unveils Strategi, a Java-based browser/server for AS/400s that includes cryptographic support, "push" technology support for information publishing and printing, and 5250/3270 emulation. The product lets users generate reports and files for Internet publishing or downloading to PC applications, provides APIs for browser-based client/server applications development, and lets remote users access AS/400 data and files via the web. It also includes BusinessLink/WEB, the compnay's web server, which provides an HTTP environment that supports 128-bit SSL 3.0 encryption and client digital certificate authentication. Template-based, the product uses data queues rather than CGI-BIN to populate HTML template pages and operates without the need for FTP or Telnet. The product requires OS/400 V3R6 and TCP/IP installed on the host AS/400 to operate.
